7% Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner (formerly 7% Glycolic Acid Toning Solution) is an exfoliating toner that dramatically smooths skin texture and promotes the appearance of a more even skin tone, as well as a brighter complexion, with regular use. It also minimizes the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The water-based toner format is suitable for daily use.<\/p>\n
It contains a 7% concentration of glycolic acid - a well-studied alpha-hydroxy acid - and a plant-derived peppery Tasmanian derivative, whose color varies seasonally, which may cause an apparent difference in color in the formula from time to time.<\/p>\n

The pH of this formula is about 3.6. Glycolic acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider when synthesizing with acids. The pKa describes the acidity of the molecule.
